Nepal’s Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to Australian Governor-General
Canberra, Australia – Her Excellency Mrs. Chitralekha Yadav, Ambassador of Nepal to the Commonwealth of Australia, officially presented her Letters of Credence to Her Excellency the Honorable Ms. Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, in a special ceremony held at Government House in Canberra today. Ambassador Yadav was accorded a Guard of Honor as part of the formal proceedings.
Following the credential ceremony, Ambassador Yadav paid a courtesy call on Governor-General Mostyn, during which she conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the Rt. Hon’ble Ram Chandra Paudel, President of Nepal. Additionally, she reiterated the President’s invitation for the Governor-General to visit Nepal, strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.
During their meeting, the two dignitaries discussed various aspects of the Nepal-Australia bilateral relationship, emphasizing mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation. They also highlighted the growing people-to-people connections that continue to foster strong ties between the two countries.
Governor-General Mostyn congratulated Ambassador Yadav on her new role and extended best wishes for a successful tenure.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Australian Foreign Ministry, including the Official Secretary, Chief of Protocol, and other high-ranking officials. Mr. Shree Krishna Yadav, spouse of Ambassador Yadav, along with embassy staff, was also present.
Following the formal proceedings, Ambassador Yadav and her spouse attended a luncheon hosted by the Governor-General of Australia, marking the beginning of a strengthened diplomatic engagement between Nepal and Australia.
