Nepal Tube Australia Unveils Diaspora Cricket Scholarships for Young Nepali Talents

Sydney, Australia – Nepal Tube Australia has launched the Diaspora Cricket Scholarships, an initiative aimed at supporting five talented young cricketers from Nepal. The program will cover the annual training fees of three boys and two girls, allowing them to focus on their cricket development at the Cricket Excellence Centre in Kathmandu.

The first recipients of the scholarships are Siddharth Saud from Achham, Aeli Yadav from Birgunj, Yashoda Bist from Kailali, Sachin Lekhak from Kathmandu, and Dhiraj Deuba from Kaliya. These promising athletes are currently undergoing intensive training at the Cricket Excellence Centre in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. Through the Diaspora Cricket Scholarships, their entire annual training fees will be covered, ensuring they can focus fully on their development without financial worries

Prominent figures such as Paras Khadka, Secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal, praised the initiative, urging global Nepali communities to support it.

Saral Gurung, founder of the Diaspora Cricket Scholarships and Director of Nepal Tube Australia, highlighted plans to expand the scholarship to 100 athletes in the coming years, aiming to nurture grassroots cricket talent in Nepal.
